The sloping bedrock on this project in Lancrans - France constantly challenges our operators to adapt to the changing depth conditions.
The installation of PVD in tailing ponds in mountainous areas is not our day to day activity, but non the less an interesting change to the daily routine.
The use of GPS based positioning and registration of installation data reduces the risks of hitting the bedrock with high installation speed. Furthermore it makes it possible to provide the operators insight into the changing subsoil conditions, improving the quality of the works.
And last but not least it shows locations where obstructions were encountered and additional measures need to be taken. We feel confident in using GPS in our installation process.
